A Church Member's View of the Samaritan House

Samaritan House is a home for the homeless.  It provides housing that helps the less fortunate, the people who depend on the kindness of others to prepare and serve meals on weekends when the facility food services are limited.

Proverbs 22:9 says, "The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor".

On the first Sunday of every month, members of the DIDO UMC provide, prepare, and serve the evening meal.  We are always welcomed and appreciated, and we always have fun.  It's a great opportunity to spread kindness and help those in need.

Proverbs 28:27 says, "Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them, receive many curses".

Be blessed by being a blessing.

If you feel in your heart to help serve, we can use your help:  cook meals, serve a meal, or provide funds to help those who can cook and serve.

Feel free to talk with Pastor Jana ((janawear@sbcglobal.net) or Chris Landmon (c.landmon@yahoo.com) for more information.

Thank you for all you do, in the name of the Lord.  God bless you.
